Baroque Works is geared up to play a huge role in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, even if the real showdown isn’t set to occur until the next season, and a beloved, audience-beloved member has just been cast.

The streaming service revealed recently that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will play Bentham. The role can use their power to change into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their right hand. The actor, who is identifies as non-binary and goes by they/them, will play a interpretation of that role reimagined as gender non-binary, instead of as a drag performer, in the live-action show, as in the initial comic and cartoon version.

The new cast member is joined by a number of recently announced actors tasked with bringing Baroque Works to reality, such as chief the main antagonist, portrayed by the seasoned performer, an emerging star as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who also joins the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta.
