A prominent South African media personality and entertainer has been murdered in the country's largest city Johannesburg, sending shockwaves across a nation battling entrenched crime.
Warrick Stock, widely recognized as DJ Warras, was gunned down in the central business district on Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities reported the 40-year-old media personality was accosted by three individuals, with one opened fire on him before running away.

The DJ sought to escape after he was shot but collapsed a short distance away.
