The Perfect Pokémon Legends: Z-A Super Form According to Your Astrological Sign
This comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread excitement within the community. From the one-by-one reveal of newcomers ahead of the title's release, to players developing firm opinions on the entire lineup of new Megas, there's a lot for fans to anticipate.
Given many of the Mega Evolutions boasting unique designs that emphasize their traits, one thought came to mind: What's the best way to connect this with zodiac signs? This list is based on a mix of intuition, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.
Aries – Mega Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was almost selected for this fire sign, as they are the Mega Pokémon and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. But, a Super Houndoom comes across as always angry, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, known for being playful, light-hearted, and spontaneous. That's why the Ram much more similar to Mega Camerupt, which only spews lava when angered. Stay on the good side of either and enjoy a strong partner; should you offend them, prepare to get burned.
Taurus – Super Heracross
Similar to a devoted Bull, the steadfast Heracross, whether in its regular and Mega form, has assisted many trainers in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, each the creature and a Taurus are still Fighting types, and – be it their companion or a strong opinion – will defend their position to the end. The thing about Super Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unashamed love of treats. Many past official descriptions mention their fondness for sweet tree sap and how it employs its horn to collect it everything, which is true Taurus energy.
The Twins – Super Medicham
Look at this absolute queen. It's impossible to tell me this Pokémon is not the soul of any gathering, providing an endless stream of chatter to anyone who wish to hear. Much like an enrapturing, sociable Gemini, it's very simple to envision Mega Medicham captivating an whole open area with their stories. Medicham’s official description also states its ability to foresee an enemy’s next moves, which seems very like a people-smart Twins.
The Crab – Mega Manectric
The Crab is widely regarded as the most emotional member of the astrological wheel, a passionate sign known for often getting wrapped up in their feelings. According to the official info, Mega Evolution charges the creature with a “tremendous quantity of energy, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to fully control,” which seems a lot like a classic Cancer crash-out. This Pokémon is also known for its ability to create a storm cloud over its own self – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is going to do, it’s rain on their good time.
The Lion – Super Starmie
Oh, did you assume I was going to select the lion Pokémon for the king of the zodiac? Aside from the fact that it would be much too obvious, Leo is obviously Mega Starmie, the diva whose legs just went viral for being too glamorous (or horrifying, depending on your preference). Players couldn’t look away from the violet starfish, and that’s precisely the identical energy a Lion offers to the table. Starmie is also said to be transmitting radio waves from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Lion to be putting on a show, even if for extraterrestrials.
The Maiden – Mega Victreebel
The ever-prepared and constantly-worried Maiden is ideally represented in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with constant acid reflux. The zodiac symbol famous for being endearingly judgmental is clearly mirrored across this creature's entire evolutionary chain, from a always surprised expression like a Virgo when you inform them you lack a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s similar to the symbol a Virgo posts to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than making a strategy.
Libra – Mega Audino
Observe this gentle, empathetic creature, who uses the sensors on its auditory organs to tell how others are feeling by their pulse. Consistently compassionate – sometimes to a detriment – and striving to keep the peace, there are many Scales who would likely appreciate Super Audino's abilities. However, let’s be honest, it would likely just make them worry even more about others.
The Scorpion – Mega Banette
Banette is a creature with a surprisingly sad backstory: Abandoned as a doll, it gained consciousness through sheer hatred and swore revenge on its former owner. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That sounds exactly like many discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpion friends. A Scorpion adores cosmic justice and retribution, making them the perfect match with Mega Banette.
The Archer – Super Hawlucha
Each Super Hawlucha and Archers are always putting on a performance. Being a Sagittarius myself, the number of occasions I’ve referred to myself some version of a “silly little jester” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Super Form, its description even notes how it “flexes to show off its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Archer counterpart I can imagine.
The Goat – Mega Absol
Were you aware that a Super Absol has the power to predict disasters ahead of time? That exudes the exact same energy as a Goat, who often always think they’re right. The thing is, much like a prophetic Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute initial Super Form that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to join the beginning of the Mega trend.
Aquarius – Super Chandelure
Detached air sign Water Bearer is possibly the non-flame sign that is closest to a fire sign – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are countless memes about the Archer and Water Bearer being unpredictable partners in crime. Mega Chandelure’s dual Ghost/Fire category fits seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s overall daunting presence is also very Water Bearer. If you weren’t already convinced, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “absorbs negative energy and converts it into power.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
