Vehicles in German City Discovered Marked with Swastikas in Human Blood, Police Report

Approximately fifty cars have been marked with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the German city of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to authorities.

Cars, walls and mailboxes were marked, sometimes with swastikas, they reported in a statement.

Law enforcement say they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a man noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored substance.

The liquid had been drawn in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they reported.

Police then found numerous other marked cars and building exteriors in the surrounding area.

These symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws banning the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Officials say early analysis indicate the fluid was likely human blood.

"There is still no clue as to its source; investigators are currently not informed of any harm in association with the event," they commented.

Municipal representatives stated they were attempting "to solve the case" and have appealed to the residents for information.

A senior official said the vandalism rendered him speechless and required to be addressed rapidly.

"This event strikes at the center of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the right-wing attack five years ago," he wrote on social media, mentioning the murder of nine victims by a assailant aiming at individuals of foreign heritage in February 2020.
